OPEN MIC Starts at 8pm, with sign-ups for slots as early as 6:30pm. ALL are welcome to share — music, poetry, rhythm, joke, song; as our host Richie Parrella cultivates a safe space to be weirdly and fully you!
If you’ve everrrr considered sharing something, but haven’t quite had the courage to do it at an inattentive bar; we ensure you’ll find this space to be so supportive that you'll be glad you took the chance!

March 21 Featured Performer: ELISE MOUREAU
Elise Moreau has been called a Songstress, a Siren, and Singer Bell on the streets of Philadelphia. It has been said that she sings from her gut and touches the people that are within ears reach. She loves to tell a story with her music whether she is singing covers or originals. Elise bears a soulful sound and feels most at ease in the soul, jazz and blues genres.
She has a BFA in musical theater from Syracuse University and attended the popular performing arts camp Stagedoor Manor. Residing in Philly for over 20 years she got her start writing contemporary music by writing hooks for a Philly rapper.
She recorded her EP, Break Open, in 2010 and after taking some time away from music she is back with fearsome determination. She is happy to have the opportunity to experience Jaya kava's weekly Open Mic events. They are truly magical in different ways each week and she is honored to be a featured performer.

8-11PM OPEN MIC! Sign up in-person for 10-15 minute slots starting at 6:30PM

THE Jaya Kava HERBAL BAR: serving food and drink and will stay open as late as Midnight if demand is there! Expect:
-relaxing kava kava teas
-euphoric, non-alcoholic herbal elixirs
-house-brewed iced potions and hot chai; ceremonial cacao
-jackfruit curry over quinoa and a chocolate baked sweet treat!

Last But Not Least! For the final Thursday of the month we are putting together an EPIC COLLABORATION with @sweetjuicefest and the Harmonie Hall in Manayunk !!! Featuring @sugdaniels_ and their rad friends as hosts, come early to get singed up and on-stage for this all-night open mic 7-11pm!
For those of you who made it out to our first-ever concert featuring @gaiaraga in Feb- you know that Harmonie Hall is a whimsical space of fantasy and delight. It’s the coolest 100-person venue in Philly, if you ask me.… DON'T MISS OUR SECOND-EVER CONCERT on March 22 ft. Chase Gray and the OTC Colletive, Faye Adinda and Friends, plus Karsyn's Communal Song Circle to kick it all off!
